Jesus adopted me into his family when I was very young, and it has been a deep privilege to serve in his Church (since 2019 as a Deacon in the ACNA), typically through ministries of preaching, teaching, and pastoral care. The Gospel seems to grow more beautiful and more powerfully compelling with every passing year, and I’m grateful for the assurance of the old hymn: “If you cannot preach like Peter, if you cannot pray like Paul, you can tell the love of Jesus, and say ‘He died for all.’”
My childhood was spent in West Virginia, but I moved into the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago over 30 years ago, where I married my husband, Joel, in 1998. Since then, we have raised three great kids (now young adults), helped plant an Anglican church, and owned too many cats.
